Well it is here – the second group leaves tomorrow morning (James Akin, David Boal, Laura Chafin, Rob Consoli, Peter Fleming, Katie Kinsey and me). Friday Cheri Berry flies back home as Joel and Cheri have a wedding to attend on Saturday. Then on Sunday Joel and Cheri join us.
Please pray for:
1. Please pray for rest tonight for those leaving in the morning: Matthew 11:27-29 “"All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
2. Our travel tomorrow, Friday and Sunday - Pray for travel mercies with safety, timeliness, luggage, and room arrangements. Pray for team bonding, unity and health of team members: Acts 15:3-4 “The church sent them on their way, and as they traveled through Phoenicia and Samaria, they told how the Gentiles had been converted. This news made all the brothers very glad. When they came to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and the apostles and elders, to whom they reported everything God had done through them.”
3. Most of all please pray for our Gospel stations and the US/Guatemala team. Pray that their lives will be in obedience to God. Pray that the team functions in complete unity by the Spirit. Pray for God’s wisdom to be present in their eyes, hands, mouths and feet as they minister to the medically and spiritually needy. Romans 15:15 – 17 “Yet I have written you quite boldly on some points to remind you of them again, because of the grace God gave me to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles. He gave me the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God."
Thank you all for praying for these last few weeks – God bless you all!
